Atal Amrit Abhiyan Scheme, Assam 2020 | Benefits & Eligibility

Atal Amrit Abhiyan Scheme was launched by Assam govt to provide health insurance scheme of sum assured up to Rs. 2 lakhs every year. The scheme is served to both BPL and APL families with a minimum premium amount of Rs. 100/- for each member.

There are almost 438 different kinds of diseases, surgeries, procedures covers under the Atal Amit Abhiyan scheme. Atal Amrit Abhiyan Scheme Details

AAA Scheme is for all BPL and APL families having their annual income up to Rs. 5 lakhs can avail the Health insurance for self and their family. The amount of sum assured is Rs. 2 lakhs per year for each member for treatment of diseases, diagnostics, medicines, etc.

Benefits of the AAA Scheme

Those who registered for the AAA Scheme can avail 438 different benefits. Those include surgeries, medicines, diagnostics, food, hospital charges, etc. The complete list of benefits are shown below-

  • Financial Benefits– A member of Atal Amrit Abhiyan scheme can avail a sum assured up to Rs. 2 lakhs per individual per year. Under this, several surgeries, diagnostics and health checkup are included.
  • Medical Benefits– Under this category, the total 438 procedures are covered for the medical benefits. It includes therapies, surgery, medicines, food, hospital charges, etc.
  • Cashless Benefits– The member of AAA scheme holder will get a laminated ID card which is to be produced during the time of payment for cashless payments. The bills payment will be deducted from the Sum insured of the cardholder.

As I have said, there is a total of 438 diseases, procedures covered under this scheme which has categorized in 6 types. Those are-

Eligibility for Atal Amrit Abhiyan Scheme

Those who want to apply for the scheme need to certify certain eligibility criteria. Those are listed below-

  • Family income should not exceed Rs. 5 lakhs per annum.
  • APL family member needs to pay Rs. 100/- for opening and renewal of the scheme.

How to apply for the AAA Scheme?

Those who are interested in the AAA scheme should visit the nearest enrollment centres with the required documents. All the application process will be done through the enrollment centres and application status can be checked online. After the approval, you will get a dedicated ID card for cashless payments. (a) Travel outside Assam- Flight expenses up to Rs. 30,000/- per beneficiary for treatment outside Assam.
(b) Travel within Assam- Travelling allowance of Rs. 300/- per visit.
(c) Daily Allowance- For treatment outside Assam, Rs. 1,000/- per day allowance for a maximum of 10 days.

Q4. Will diagnostics tests are covered under the AAA Scheme?

Yes, all diagnostic tests done before 24-hour of admission in the empanelled hospital are covered within the Scheme.
