AWU has recently published the Job advertisement on the official website www.awu.ac.in. Assam Women’s University, Rowriah, Jorhat invites the eligible candidate to appear in the Walk-in-Interview for the contractual post of Assistant Professor. Here are the post details-

  1. Assistant Professors of Library and Information Science, Education and Economics
  2. Assistant Professors of Psychology and Physiotherapy

For both the post the monthly remuneration Rs. 15,000/- is offered. Here Below Check the time, date and venue of the Interview.

  • Assistant Professors of Psychology and Physiotherapy

Time of Interview: 02:00 PM, (Note that the Reporting time 01:00 PM)
Venue or Location: Registrar’s Office Chamber, AWU

What is the minimum qualification required for the post?

For the post of Assistant Professors of Library and Information Science, Education and Economics; the candidate should have excellent academic record with at least 55% marks at master’s degree (or an equivalent grade point, wherever grading system is followed). Apart from that the candidate must have qualified the  National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

For the post of Assistant Professors of Psychology and Physiotherapy; the candidate should have excellent academic record with at least 55% marks at master’s degree similar to above. In addition for Psychology the candidate must qualified the  National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. on the other hand For Physiotherapy, preference will be given to candidates specialized in  Musculoskeletal and Sport Physiotherapy or Community-based Rehabilitation.
