Research and Development Section of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati published a notification for the recruitment of a post-doctoral position (under the DST-SERB Core Research Grant scheme CRG/2019/004078) for the department of PHYSICS.
Project Details: The project primarily aims to build search strategies for multi-component dark matter in future direct and collider experiments. Candidates having expertise in dark matter model building and phenomenological computations shall be preferred. IIT Guwahati has a fairly large and dynamic HEP group with good coverage of expertise from cosmology, neutrinos, flavor physics, Higgs physics, QCD, which the candidate can exploit.
Duration of the Project: The position is contractual and primarily for 11 months, which is extendable beyond 2 years.
Salary and Benefits: The monthly salary for the position is Rs. 50,000 with additional HRA of Rs. 8000 and medical benefits of Rs. 1250. The candidate can also avail of travel facilities within India for academic collaboration and conferences.
Essential Eligibility: The candidate is required to have a PhD in particle physics, or at least have successfully defended the thesis.
