The #NationalRecruitmentAgency will prove to be a boon for crores of youngsters. Through the Common Eligibility Test, it will eliminate multiple tests and save precious time as well as resources. This will also be a big boost to transparency.
NRA 2020- National Recruitment Agency Details:
Currently, Govt Job Seekers appear for multiple examinations conducted by multiple agencies. Candidate pay repetitive fees, travel great distances to recruitment centers several times a year. NRA will remove these pain points with a common admission test for the Tier I exam for multiple govt jobs. NRA will reduce the burden on candidates as also on respective recruitment agencies.
NRA to conduct the Common Eligibility Test(CET ):
NRA gives more choice to Job Seekers, separate CET to be conducted for three levels-
- Higher Secondary (12th)
- Matriculation (10th Pass)
For Non-Technical Posts, CET Shall replace the Tier I exam held by SSC, Railway recruitment Boards & Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. CET to shortlist Candidates for Group B and C posts in Central Government. Standard Curriculum & Degree of difficulty to be conducted in multiple Indian Languages. Based on the CET score, the final selection to be made through separate specialized Tier 2 / Tier 3 Examinations conducted by the respective recruitment agencies.
CET Score of a candidate will be valid for 3 years, but the available score for 3 years will be the current score. No restriction on the number of attempts by the candidate subject to the upper age limit prescribed relaxation in upper age limit to be given to the candidate of SC./ ST /OBC /PWD etc. The candidate who clear CET will be eligible to attempt for the Second Level Exam (Mains) thrice (once every year).
Good Governance through Transparency:
NRA to provide good governance through transparency. First of all, it reduces the time taken in the selection process. Moreover, it will mitigate the hectic part for a candidate from appearing in multiple exams of multiple agencies with similar eligibility conditions. CET to be conducted at over 1000 centers every district will have at least one exam center including the 117 aspirational districts. Extending the center to the district level, NRA will provide better access to rural, underprivileged candidates and women.
NRA put job seekers first:
(NRA) will put job seekers first and help organizations in saving cost & time spent on recruitment. An interesting point is the candidates can schedule tests and choose the center of their choice. The CET Scores can be shared with central Govt, State Govt, UTs PSU, Private Sector for generation of employment. It will also help such organizations in saving costs and time spent on recruitment.
NRA To Help Streamline Recruitment Process:
Initially the NRA to conduct CET Twice a year. The whole process will bring to Online platform-such as Registration of applicants, generation of roll number/ admit cards, display or marks, merit list, etc will be done Online. The medium of Writing will be a multiple choice objective type question paper. The number of Candidates appearing in the specialized exams will get reduced to nearly 5% of the total number of candidates.
